During the peak of the coronavirus pandemic, John Churcher Electrical, part of the ERS Group, was proud to contribute to the rapid creation of Cardiff’s Nightingale Hospital within the Principality Stadium. This project transformed the venue into the UK’s second-largest emergency field hospital, boasting over 1,200 beds.

Our skilled team worked tirelessly alongside industry partners, delivering high-quality solutions under extraordinary time constraints. The hospital was completed in less than three weeks, demonstrating both the scale of the challenge and our capability to meet it.

Scope of Work

John Church Electrical provided a comprehensive suite of services, including:

Electrical Design: Developing a detailed electrical infrastructure plan tailored to the hospital’s urgent needs.

Installed 2km of bedhead power trunking and 12,000 electrical outlets, ensuring power was accessible for all hospital equipment.
Manufactured and supplied hundreds of circuit breaker leads within stringent deadlines.
